Global Results Communications Honored at 34th Annual PROTOS Awards

Achievements recognized by the Orange County Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)

Irvine, Calif. – July XX, 2009 - Global Results Communications (GRC), a full-service public relations firm with global capabilities that serves the high-tech, telecommunications, wireless and consumer electronics markets, received five awards at the 34th Annual PROTOS Awards hosted by the Orange County Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (OC/PRSA) on June 26. The event honored top public relations professionals for distinguished campaigns and accomplishments.

Among the awards received, GRC accepted three Awards of Excellence and two PROTOS awards in the media relations and news release categories. The awards recognized campaigns implemented by the GRC team for a variety of clients, including the Mobile Marketing Association, Quattro Wireless, SnapTell and Zumobi.

OC/PRSA also presented its annual Distinguished Service Award - Individual honor to Daniel Rhodes, GRC’s vice president of public relations, for his years of service to the chapter. OC/PRSA’s highest honor, this award distinguishes outstanding career achievements in extending the practice of public relations and commitment to a particular organization by devoting time, skill, and other notable assets.

“I am extremely honored to be recognized by The Orange County Chapter, its board and its members,” said Rhodes. “My involvement with the Chapter and the greater PRSA is a natural outgrowth of my desire to serve the local public relations community and everyone associated with it.”

Over the past six years, Rhodes has held various positions on the OC/PRSA Board, including 2005 PROTOS Chair, 2006 Programs Chair and 2007 OC/PRSA Chapter President. In 2007, Rhodes was appointed as a delegate for the chapter to the international assembly and still holds the position. In addition, he recently served as Chair of the PRSA Western District Conference, which was held in Orange County this past April.  The Western District Conference is an annual, regional event that is hosted by one of the district’s ten member chapters and attracts more than 200 attendees for three days of programming and leadership training.
