Tod Perry

Podcast Host & Producer

Tod Perry is the host of GRC’s PR 360 Podcast. After starting his media career writing for the promotions department at 97.1 KLSX “The FM Talk Station” in Los Angeles, Tod went on to work as a copywriter in the tech and advertising worlds. In 2015, he pivoted to journalism, becoming one of the most prolific writers for Upworthy, a web publisher with over 15 million followers on social media.

An on-demand content pioneer, Tod has created many popular podcasts covering a variety of topics. In 2009, while podcasting was still in its infancy, he co-created and hosted “Low Budget FM,” one of iTunes’ early comedy hits, and worked alongside L.A. radio legend Brian Whitman on his eponymous podcast from 2011 to 2012. From 2015 to 2021, Tod was the co-host and producer of one of the most popular podcasts on Eastern philosophy, “What’s This Tao All About?” with Dr. Carl Totton. More recently, in 2022, he launched a 10-hour podcast documentary, “LA’s Own Marineland,” about the history of the defunct oceanarium.

Tod also currently hosts the popular “Upworthy Weekly” podcast with Alison Rosen. “Upworthy Weekly” is a lighthearted look at Upworthy’s most popular and engaging stories.

In his spare time, Tod enjoys writing songs, rooting for the Las Vegas Raiders, and perfecting his Bolognese sauce.

Tod has one child with his wife Sarah and lives in Long Beach, California.
